Even if she doesn't like being with her father, it doesn't mean she'll want to abandon her entire world.

It's possible. I don't know how she died, but apparently she was still pretty young.

She was young, she was only twenty-two. Marni'd had a blood condition all her life, and when she was eight months pregnant she started hemorraging blood and died.

Does Nathan have any connection to Rotti?

He works for GeneCo, or at least he did last I heard. And...well, he also stole Marni from Rotti. Marni left Rotti at the altar for him.

He threw quite a few fits about it when no was looking, but he tried to save face to the press and seem as though he were fine with it. He even attended the wedding.

...as much as I dislike Rotti, I don't know if there's any reason to suspect him. Marni really was ill for a long time, and the pregnancy only made it worse. And if he were going to kill one of them, why not kill Nathan instead?

Because it was Marni who left him. Does Rotti strike you as someone who lets go of things, or people, easily?

True. But at the same time, Marni's husband was a doctor; if there'd been foul play, wouldn't he have noticed it?
